So I am assuming anyone who has found this little page of mine has an idea on what Canada Goose is and that they are not a cheap clothing line by any means. They are actually probably one of the most expensive brands out there and the pieces that I own are by far the most expensive pieces of clothes that I own.
I really don’t want to give off the impression that I am some stuck up millionaire who has money to throw away on clothes because I am far from it my friends, believe me. The decision to spend so much money on a parka or snow pants was not an easy one to make and it actually took me pretty much my entire life to ever feel the need to spend so much.
After years of abuse from cold weather working outside I had finally had enough and knew it was time that I spoil myself a little bit so saved up for a whole seasons worth of work and stashed it away for next year.
The reason I think this clothing line is such a worthy investment and I am so passionate about them is that even after years of very heavy use, every piece has yet to show any sort of sign of wear and tear and does not look like they will be anytime soon. I can’t imagine that I will really ever have to buy another coat or jacket again so they were all worth every penny in my book.
When it is past the point of fall and it has become the most depressing time of the year for anyone who works outside like I do, my number 3 favorite piece of clothing from Canada Goose really helps ease the sting of the brutal chilling wind that Winter is so fond of delivering. When you combine their parka with their cargo pant line, there is no weather cold enough in this country to penetrate your skin.
As I have mentioned before, I work for a construction company and a tree service company that a good friend of mine owns so having good snow pants is absolutely critical in the winter and working outside in the snow without something that is made with top quality material can make your life a living hell.
I don’t know what they do to make it happen, but all three articles of Canada Goose that I own feel very lightweight when you put them on, but at the same time keep you warmer than anything else I have ever tried. It really amazes me how warm you can feel while not dragging around a coat or pants that weighs 20 pounds. I always hated having heavy clothes on, especially in the winter when they get wet and weigh you down even more.
Working 2 blue collar jobs is obviously mostly manual labor and it really takes its toll on your body after a while so carrying around the least amount of weight as possible makes my life a whole lot easier.
Now that I got my favorite piece out of the way, I can talk about the very close runner up. When the most depressing time of the year comes and summer slowly begins its transition into Fall weather, Canada Goose’s Shells are the perfect fit no matter where you live.
These are obviously less heavy duty than their parkas but the quality and materials that go into the Shells are just as impressive. I don’t know what it is, but I always feel like it is the absolute perfect amount of warmth for Fall weather regardless of the actual temperature, if that makes any sense at all.
What I mean by that is Fall can really be up and down when it comes to the temperature and can be very unpredictable. But whether it is the warmest of days or the coldest in Fall, the Shell just feels like it is the perfect protection and cover for whatever the actual temperature may be. I think a lot of it has to do with the shape of the Shells and how well they are fitted right up on to your body. This reduces the need for really heavy duty material and acts as the perfect blanket for your body.
For any guys out there reading this, this jacket makes the perfect gift for your significant other as well. I got one for my wife on her birthday a few years ago after I realized how amazing this brand was and she has never worn another jacket since. You know how much women appreciate a man with good taste 🙂
So I mentioned that I only have ever owned 3 pieces of Canada Goose and I am going to talk about them in the next few posts. There are a number of reasons that I feel so passionate about this clothing company but the main reason I do is because I work full time for a construction company and part time at a tree service company my buddy owns so needless to say, most of my work day is spent outside and having something that can handle some brutal weather is very important for my line of work.
Here is my absolute favorite article of clothing I have ever owned and after 4 years of very heavy use during some pretty brutal winters has yet to have any really noticeable wear on it and certainly no tears or rips. The Canada Goose Parka is not cheap, that is for sure but it is definitely for good reasons and worth every penny as far as I am concerned. If you can only afford or choose to purchase one article from this amazing company, I highly recommend spoiling yourself a little bit and going for the parka. It will last you years more than any other brand out there and keep you warmer than you thought any coat could.
In my line of work any other normal coat would maybe last a full season if I was lucky. I vowed never to go back to any other winter coats the moment I purchased this awesome parka.
OH HI THERE LITTLE GUY HOW ARE YOU DOING TODAY?? As adorable as this creature is, this is not the goose loving that I am talking about unfortunately. I am however going to be talking a lot about my favorite clothing line that is out there today, Canada Goose! For any of you out there who don’t know what it is and have never heard of it before then you have found the right place and I am going to be there unofficial spokesperson for a while because ever since I bought my first coat I have never gone back to my old ways.
Now granted, for those of you who have heard of it before know that this clothing line is not cheap by any means and most people really don’t have that kind of money laying around to spend on a parka or jacket and I don’t want to come off as though I am loaded with cash and throw it around all willy nilly on things like clothes because I am far from rich my friends.
In all actuality I have only ever bought 3 pieces of Canada Goose gear but that is what I love so much about them. You can forget about getting a new coat every winter because your old one is started to shred up. These things were built to last and for someone who works outside for a living this is a beautiful thing.
Thanks for checking out my page and I hope to convert a few of you out there to this awesome company.
